Camp Nushka

Camp Nushka, Located on the shores of Cass Lake, on the mighty Mississippi chain. Nestled in a 200-year-old pine grove with camping for up to 75 people in two camp areas. The camp is a rustic experience with two picnic shelters, and fire rings. There are endless opportunities to enjoy the great outdoors. Being on the lake affords the opportunity to fish, boat or canoe. Use it as a stop for a long-distance trek by canoe down the Mississippi or base out of the camp and canoe a variety of routes on area lakes and rivers. There are numerous hiking, mountain biking, and a paved bike trail the MA GIZ E trail within riding distance. There is a 36 point Orienteering, GPS and UTM course on site with pre-determined beginner, intermediate and expert courses available. Water and Toilets Are available. Only 1.25 miles off the tar road in the middle of the Chippewa National Forest. 13 miles from Cass Lake or 25 Miles from Bemidji, Minnesota. The camp is open and available year round for 4 season camping opportunities.


Due to the storm damage that occured in June 2025, Camp Nushka is closed until further notice until the camp can be cleaned up.
