Join us for an evening of food, fun, and fellowship as we invite businesses and members of the community to race their own pinewood derby cars at Valley Imports. Attendees of the first annual corporate pinewood derby have the chance to win prizes for best in show, enjoy hors d’oeuvres and refreshments, and witness a wonderful and inspiring event as our area’s corporate and community leaders come together to support our young Scouts and future leaders!
Proceeds of the derby will benefit the programs of the Northern Lights Council, Scouting America.
In order to run the Scouting program in the Fargo area, it costs the Northern Lights Council over $500 to support one Scout in a year. Our goal is to allow every youth from kindergarten to high school to be involved in Scouting without building the programs on the financial backs of adult volunteers. This fundraiser will help us to reduce the cost of Scouting and keep it affordable so that every youth has the opportunity to belong. You can enter as an individual, enter as a sponsor, or recruit a team to fundraise for Scouting!

WE WILL HOST 2 RACES! Enter the Stock Car race, the Outlaw race, or both! Cars in the Stock Race must follow all normal pinewood derby rules (dimensions, weight, no starting devices, etc). Full rules can be found on our event website. Cars racing in the Outlaw Race will not be held to any rules (including propulsion or dimensions). The Outlaw Race is expected to be a fun part of the evening! Many companies also choose to decorate their car with their branding.
